At CONMETAL, we design and manufacture hot air dryers tailored to the specific needs of each process. We offer two main configurations:
- Dryers with direct combustion hot gases, where air is heated through controlled combustion of natural or liquefied gas.
- Dryers with steam heater, in which air is heated indirectly through heat exchangers, avoiding direct contact with combustion gases.
Both designs utilize a rotating drum that keeps the product in constant motion, ensuring uniform drying and optimizing process time.

Designed primarily for the fishing industry. The CONMETAL Cooker is a unit for continuous operation with indirect heating, with capacities ranging from 10 t/hr to 60 t/hr of raw material.
Both the cylinder and the rotor are heated with boiler steam.
The unit is manufactured as a horizontal cylinder through which the raw material is conveyed by a rotor configured as a screw conveyor. The screw flights are stamped and have been specially designed to achieve cooking with a shorter residence time and therefore better preservation of the product’s protein qualities.
The CONMETAL Cooker is also designed for easy chemical cleaning. We also have reconditioned units available, subject to stock verification at our plant.

Precise rolling system achieving deviations at equipment ends of less than 10mm, eliminating wear on the rotary joint and rollers
Maintenance of this equipment consists of proper lubrication of the rolling system, screws, and fan according to the operations manual, cleaning and calibration of the burner if the equipment has one. For cleaning, the rotating drum, cyclones, and ducts should be inspected periodically to prevent saturation with fines.
- Our SAC hot air dryers operate in countercurrent flow
- They are fed in the opposite direction to the hot air flow
- The product is lifted by lifting flights and advances toward the outlet due to the drum’s slope or inclination of 1.5%.
- The hot, dry air evaporates water from the product as it advances through the rotating cylinder.
- Finally exiting according to the final moisture content required by the client. Humid vapors are removed from the dryer and condensed in the gas scrubber.
