Our Model

The C60-CSD1750 model is designed to process up to 50 tonnes per hour, with a heat transfer area of 220 m². Its operation at lower pressure and temperature improves product quality and optimises energy consumption through efficient steam use.

Features

  • Versatility in steam use: It can operate with optional flash steam or live steam from boilers, depending on process requirements and configuration.
  • Rotor design without a central bearing support, improving durability and efficiency.
  • Automatic evacuation of non-condensable gases, optimising performance.
  • Indirect steam heating system, maximising heat transfer and ensuring uniform cooking.
  • Optimised heat transfer area, enabling the optimal temperature to be reached between the screw and the jacket.
  • Compatibility with a lamella pump and the possibility of automation for greater process efficiency.

Manufactured in ASTM 515 or 516 carbon steel, Grade 70, these units offer exceptional strength at temperatures up to 400 °C and pressures of 12 bar. Subjected to hydrostatic testing, they ensure maximum performance and operational safety.

The advanced temperature control system enables stable, uniform cooking, reducing operating costs. The jacket can use revaporised or flash steam, optimising energy consumption without affecting product quality.

To preserve the quality of delicate products, the cookers operate with low-pressure saturated steam, preventing the degradation of essential nutrients. This approach is ideal for sustainable processes, such as producing omega-3-rich fish oil.

  • Caustic soda wash: removes scale and improves efficiency.
  • Accessible design: facilitates inspection and maintenance at all critical points.

Conmetal cookers strictly comply with international safety and quality standards, including ASME, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.

We offer more than five models with capacities from 5 to 50 tonnes per hour. For higher requirements, we develop customised solutions.

Custom-made

We have more than 5 models in our catalogue, with processing capacities ranging from 20 to 60 t/hr of raw material. If you require a larger industrial cooker, contact us.

    Applications Across Different Industries

    Wine

    Chemical

    Pulp & Paper

    Mining

    Steel

    Energy

Designed primarily for the fishing industry. The CONMETAL Cooker is a unit for continuous operation with indirect heating, with capacities ranging from 10 t/hr to 60 t/hr of raw material.

Both the cylinder and the rotor are heated with boiler steam.

The unit is manufactured as a horizontal cylinder through which the raw material is conveyed by a rotor configured as a screw conveyor. The screw flights are stamped and have been specially designed to achieve cooking with a shorter residence time and therefore better preservation of the product’s protein qualities.

The CONMETAL Cooker is also designed for easy chemical cleaning. We also have reconditioned units available, subject to stock verification at our plant.

    Cookers

An industrial cooker is a piece of equipment designed for large-scale cooking of product/raw material in an industrial environment. They use steam to achieve a fast and uniform process.

Conmetal industrial cookers, specifically the CSD model, are manufactured primarily from high-quality, high-strength materials. Components used include ASTM A516 Grade 70 steel for the main body of the cooker and ASTM A418 Grade 90-60 steel for the shafts. In addition, ASME SA675 Grade 60 steel is used for the shaft bearing supports, and 304 stainless steel is used in areas prone to corrosion. For structural elements and supports, A36 steel is used.

Temperature in Conmetal cookers is controlled by an indirect steam heating system. This system makes it possible to reach the optimal cooking temperature in both the screw and the cooker jacket. Conmetal also offers the option of incorporating a more advanced temperature control system for more stable and efficient operation.

They are designed to operate with a capacity ranging from 10 tonnes per hour to 60 tonnes per hour of raw material. These units are primarily adapted for the fishing industry, enabling continuous and efficient operation for cooking large volumes of fish intended for the production of fishmeal and fish oil.

Yes, Conmetal cookers are designed with multiple safety features to ensure safe and efficient operation. Safety features include: indirect heating, temperature control, robust design, siphonless condensate evacuation, and ease of cleaning.

In addition, Conmetal strictly follows international safety and quality standards, such as those established by ASME and other organisations, which supports the reliability and safety of its equipment.

Maintenance of Conmetal cookers is essential to ensure optimal operation and extend service life. Some key maintenance practices include:

    • Regular cleaning: internal and external.
    • Component inspection: screws and flights, seals and gaskets, valves and control systems.
    • Heating system: steam boilers, steam and condensate lines.
    • Lubrication: bearings and shafts.
    • Safety review: safety systems and inspection protocol.
    • Documentation and records: maintenance history and procedures manual.
