The CONMETAL Rotacoil dryer is rotary equipment with a fixed casing and a rotor formed by a bundle of stainless steel tubes, designed to replace the disc rotor of disc dryers. This innovation optimizes heat transfer, reduces thermal damage to the product, and improves drying uniformity, while maintaining high energy efficiency and reliable operation.
Unlike other systems, the Rotacoil incorporates a high internal agitation design that keeps the product in constant motion, preventing overheating from prolonged contact with hot surfaces.
Features
Thanks to internal vapor recirculation, the equipment protects product quality and improves the advancement of dry material within the dryer. The resulting vapors, with a temperature close to 98 °C in a saturated state, are ideal for use in evaporator plants, maximizing energy utilization.
The Rotacoil’s condensate evacuation system operates without a siphon, ensuring stable and continuous heat transfer even during prolonged operations. All surfaces in contact with the product are heated, which prevents bacterial corrosion and extends the equipment’s lifespan. Areas most exposed to corrosion are reinforced with stainless steel, and the rotor bearing zone is protected by a sleeve that absorbs thermal expansion.
The RCC 400 IC model offers an evaporation capacity of up to 4,000 kg/h and a maximum flour throughput of 19 t/h, with a steam consumption of 4.3 t/h at 6 bar.
Its drive system, composed of a 200 HP WEG motor and a shaft-mounted Conmetal reducer, delivers the necessary power for stable operation under load.
The heat transfer area reaches 420 m², with a casing made of A-516 Gr70 steel and a tubular rotor made of 304 stainless steel with an A-516 Gr70 steel core. The equipment has been tested at 14 bar, offering operational safety and reliability.
To streamline maintenance tasks, the Rotacoil is equipped with counterbalanced, light-opening covers that facilitate access to cleaning areas.
Additionally, it features connections prepared for using flash steam in its heated jackets and can operate across a wide range of pressures, allowing for more precise process control and adaptability to different production conditions.
The equipment has a total weight of 70 tons and maximum dimensions of 12,185 mm long, 7,370 mm high, and 4,450 mm wide.
Like all CONMETAL equipment, the Rotacoil Dryer comes with a two-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, ensuring technical support, spare parts availability, and accompaniment throughout the equipment’s lifecycle.

Designed primarily for the fishing industry. The CONMETAL Cooker is a unit for continuous operation with indirect heating, with capacities ranging from 10 t/hr to 60 t/hr of raw material.
Both the cylinder and the rotor are heated with boiler steam.
The unit is manufactured as a horizontal cylinder through which the raw material is conveyed by a rotor configured as a screw conveyor. The screw flights are stamped and have been specially designed to achieve cooking with a shorter residence time and therefore better preservation of the product’s protein qualities.
The CONMETAL Cooker is also designed for easy chemical cleaning. We also have reconditioned units available, subject to stock verification at our plant.
Rotacoil Dryer




It is a compact final dryer designed to provide homogeneous dehydration and easy process control.
Dehydration is achieved through a drying atmosphere generated by recirculated vapors, which ensures that product quality is not altered.
Its main function is to provide uniform and controlled final drying, complementing tube dryers and improving overall process control.
By using recirculated vapors for drying, the Rotacoil Dryer does not alter product quality, maintaining its original properties and characteristics.
It is used after tube dryers, as a final dryer to ensure homogeneous dehydration and precise process control.
